RE: Engagement Letter – Representation Regarding Automobile Accident Claim

Dear Ms. Robinson:

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to represent you related to your vehicle accident that occurred on or about September 10, 2025, in Mishawaka, Indiana.

This letter confirms the terms of our meeting and the outline and scope of our representation. In our communication, we use (“the Firm”) as the representation and you (“the Client/s”).

  1. Scope of Representation

The Law Office of Willison & Kinsman, LLC (“the Firm”) will represent you (“the Client/s”) in pursuing claims for damages arising from the above-referenced automobile accident. Our representation includes investigating liability, negotiating with your insurance company, and, if necessary, initiating litigation. The scope of our representation does not include any other matters unless exclusively agreed to in writing.

  1. Legal Fees and Billing

Our professional services are billed on an hourly basis as follows:

-Attorneys: $200 per hour

– Paralegal: $75.00 per hour

A monthly statement is generated regarding our services and expenses incurred. Payment is due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. If invoices are not paid on time, the Firm reserves the right to withdraw from representation in accordance with Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 1.5 Fees or Rule 1.16. Declining or Terminating Representation, according to the preamble, is a lawyer’s responsibility of ethics.

  1. Cost and Expense

In addition to legal fees, you are responsible for costs such as filing fees, copying, postage, expert witness fees, and other litigation expenses. These line items appear as itemized charges on your monthly statement. If there’s a discrepancy in your billing statement, the grace period is thirty (30) days to contact our office.

  1. Termination of Representation

You may terminate this agreement at any time by providing written notice. The Firm may withdraw from representation consistent with the Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct if obligations are not met or if continued representation becomes unreasonable. Upon termination, you will be responsible for payment of all accrued fees and expenses. The Firm will take reasonable steps to protect the Client’s interests.

  1. No Guarantee of Outcome

We will diligently represent your interests; we make no guarantee of the outcome of your legal matter. The legal outcome depends on many influences outside our control.

  1. Confidentiality

Any information you provide to the Firm is strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, except as required by law to represent your legal case.

Please review this letter carefully. Should you agree to these terms, kindly sign below and return one copy to our office. Retain a duplicate for your records.

We look forward to working with you and appreciate your trust in our Firm.

Sincerely,

Willison & Kinsman, LLC
