My idea of a “meaningful relationship” is giving of yourself. What I mean by this is helping in your local community. I help by volunteering with the most vulnerable population, the elderly, and individuals (men, women, and children) who are victims of violence or domestic situations. I am not looking for a pat on the back or anything in return. I give of myself because this is who I am and my character. It makes me feel good when I can help others by putting a smile on their face, even if it is temporary. I have been in a situation of seeing violence, so I relate. I watched my sister get hurt mother to lose her life, including another person. I am lucky to be here to tell my story, even though I deal with PTSD.

When I “researched ideas” and applied for volunteer positions, these two organizations fell into my lap. I do not work, and I need to be productive. These two companies were a perfect fit; however, I can relate to them based on my personal experience. Because giving back to my local community helping is a “better world project” for each life I touch.

I want to challenge everyone who reads this post to think about giving back to their local community by volunteering to make the “Better World Project” successful. May you have Peace, Love, and Joy!
