Family and friends

Dear family and friends,
This week has been a year since I have made a significant change in my life. I took what belongs to me, and to give my mother the peace, and to acknowledge my biological father by taking both of there surnames. Not that I am ashamed, but I needed time to reflect on the person I am to be more comfortable in my new Identity. I have waited for fifty-four years for this moment, and it has arrived! I feel like a rebirth as being born again; I can’t say this happens often. There is a lot more work I must do, adjusting into my new life as my dad’s son with his name. I could not be any prouder than I am and honor to carry his name as I hope to make him very proud. I am so thankful for the support of my family and friends as I walk this journey with there love, compassion, and strength.
